City of Sturgeon Bay:  Garbage collection for those whose normal pick-up would take place on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 24 and 25, will be collected on Friday, Dec. 26. Please remember to have your carts at the road by 7 the morning of collection. That will not be a scheduled recycling collection week.

The city Plan Commission will hold a public hearing at 7 pm on Dec. 17 on a zoning request to rezone a vacant parcel on N. 10th from general commercial to single-family residential. The commission will also considered a revised plan for the proposed waterfront hotel.

Town of Egg Harbor:  The town board meets at 7 pm on Dec. 15.

Town of Forestville:  The town board meets at 7 pm on Dec. 15.

Town of Gibraltar:  The Door County Tourism Zone Commission meets at 9 am on Dec. 18 at the Gibraltar/Fish Creek Fire Station.

Town of Jacksonport:  The town board will meet at 7 pm on Dec. 16.

Town of Liberty Grove:  The IT Committee meets at 7 pm on Dec. 15. The town board meets at 7 pm on Dec. 17.

Town of Sevastopol:  The town board meets at 7 pm on Dec. 15. The Property Management Committee meets at 9 am on Dec. 17. The town will hold its Christmas Open House on Dec. 19, beginning at 4 pm.

Town of Union:  The town board meets at 6:30 pm on Dec. 16.

Village of Egg Harbor:  Once the temperatures drop low enough, the village is going to flood the grassy area on the former spot of Lena’s Sip and Chat (across from Liberty Square) to create an ice skating rink. The Utility Committee meets at 10 am on Dec. 17. A Joint Fire Commission meeting is scheduled for 6:45 am on Dec. 18.

Village of Sister Bay:  The village board meets at 6 pm on Dec. 16.
