City of Sturgeon Bay: The Zoning Board of Appeals meets at noon on Sept. 22. The Parks & Recreation Committee meets at 4 pm on Sept. 23. 

County of Door: Hazard Mitigation Plan meeting, Sept. 21, 4-6 pm, Forestville Town Hall, Maplewood, 7705 County H. The Library Board meets at 5 pm on Sept. 21. The Board of Adjustment meets at 6:30 pm on Sept. 22.

Town of Egg Harbor: The town board meets at 7 pm on Sept. 21.

Town of Gibraltar: The Plan Commission meets at 7 pm on Sept. 22. A 2016 budget workshop will be held at 6 pm on Sept. 23.

Town of Liberty Grove: The Technology Committee meets at 7 pm on Sept. 21. Joint meeting of the town board and Finance Committee to discuss upcoming budget, Sept. 22 at 1 and 7 pm. The Economic Development Committee meets at 7 pm on Sept. 24.

Town of Washington Island: The town has a job opening for a public works employee. Interested candidates may call or stop at the town office to pick up an application and job description. It is also available at washingtonisland-wi.gov. Applications should be turned in by noon on Sept. 23, 2015. They will be reviewed in a closed session of special meeting of the town board.

Village of Egg Harbor: The Plan Commission meets at 6 pm on Sept. 22. The Harbor Committee meets at 10 am on Sept. 23.

The village heard from Wisconsin Public Service that the cost to bury utility lines as part of the downtown reconstruction will be $1.65 million. WPS informed the village it needed an answer on whether the village wants to go ahead with burying cables by Sept. 15. At its Sept. 14 meeting, the village board said it did not have enough information yet to decide on the utility plan, but it will consider that option when other costs are known.

The village also lost two of its trustees. T.C. Johnson resigned his post on Sept. 4, and Bruce Hill ended his 12 years as a trustee at the conclusion of the Sept. 14 meeting. “It’s been a great 12 years. My work here is done,” Hill said. “A group of us had a vision for the Village of Egg Harbor and it’s been accomplished. It’s beautiful. It’s gorgeous. The vision is accomplished.”

Village of Ephraim: Historic Preservation meets at 6:30 pm on Sept. 22. The Planning Committee meets at 7 pm on Sept. 22. The Community Protection Committee meets at 4:30 pm on Sept. 24.

Village of Sister Bay: The Plan Commission meets at 5:30 pm on Sept. 22. The Finance Committee meets at 6 pm on Sept. 24.
