Pavilion:  The Sister Bay Performance Pavilion project is almost complete, with a few finishing touches left such as light and sound equipment installation. The Village’s Concerts in the Park Series on Wednesday evenings are now being held in the Pavilion using band-supplied sound equipment.

Beach Expansion Project:  The Village’s Beach Expansion project is back on the table, with bids having been let in July. Bids were due Aug. 20.  The Village has applied for a DNR stewardship grant to cover half of the cost of the project and will learn if awarded later this fall. The project is slated to be substantially completed by May 21, 2015.

Overhead Utility Line Burial:  The Village is working with DOT, WPS and Action Electric to engage in the burial of all overhead utility lines along Bay Shore Drive from Hwy 42 and 57 intersection to Scandia Road. The project is in the planning stage and is slated to begin in spring of 2015, with completion scheduled to be before Memorial Day.

Open Air Market:  The Village of Sister Bay is searching for vendors for its new open air market. The market is open on Wednesdays from 3 until 8 pm in conjunction with Sister Bay’s highly successful Concert in the Park series, and again on Thursdays from 8 am until noon. Vendors are encouraged to apply to the Sister Bay Administrative Offices; Made in Wisconsin products are highly sought.

Events:  Marina Fest will be held Saturday, Aug. 30. This event supports a number of local nonprofits. Come see the Waterboard Warriors water show, live music throughout the day, and a fireworks show in the evening.

Public Service:  The Village of Sister Bay has several openings to fill for our government.
