Town of Baileys Harbor:  Due to the recent severe weather, the Baileys Harbor Town Office on the lower level of the town hall was flooded. Therefore, service may be somewhat limited. Town Clerk/Administrator Doug Smith will be maintaining regular office hours in the town hall auditorium (upstairs) and/or the Baileys Harbor Information Center. If you wish to reach him by phone, you can either dial 920.839.9509 and leave a message, or dial the Information Center at 920.839.2366 and they may be able to connect you immediately.

Town of Brussels:  The town board meets at 7 pm on Sept. 17 at the Brussels Community Center.

A website has been developed to assist voters in the towns of Brussels, Gardner and Union on the emergency facilities upgrade that is going to referendum in each of the municipalities on Nov. 4. The Long Range Planning Committee that has been charged with this task states on the website:  “The committee encourages all taxpayers to review the facts prepared in order to make an informed decision at the upcoming Nov. 4 election.” Find it here:  bugfiredepartment.com/update.htm. Informational sessions have also been planned, beginning on Sept. 23 at 7 pm at the Belgian Heritage Center, Brussels. There are also meetings scheduled for Oct. 4, 10 am – noon, at the North Fire Station, Sturgeon Bay; 7 pm on Oct. 9 at the Wave Point Conference Room, Sturgeon Bay; Oct. 18, 10 am at the South Fire Station, Brussels; and Oct. 22, 7 pm, at the Brussels Community Center.

Town of Egg Harbor:  The town board meets at 7 pm on Sept. 15.

Town of Forestville:  The town board meets at 7 pm on Sept. 23 (this is a change for the board, which usually meets the third Tuesday of the month).

Town of Liberty Grove:  The town board meets at 7 pm on Sept. 17. The Fire Board meets at 8 am on Sept. 19. Electronics and appliance recycling and paper shredding takes place at the town hall beginning at 9 am on Sept. 20.

Town of Union:  The town board meets at 6:30 pm on Sept. 16.

Village of Egg Harbor:  The Utility Committee meets at 10 am on Sept. 17. The Joint Fire Commission meets at 6:45 am on Sept. 18.

Village of Ephraim:  The Planning Committee meets at 7 pm on Sept. 16.

Village of Sister Bay:  The Marina Committee meets at 2 pm on Sept. 16. The village board meets at 6 pm on Sept. 16.
