City of Sturgeon Bay: The Waterfront Design Review Board meets at noon on Oct. 5 to consider a building addition for American Petroleum, 211 Michigan St. The Common Council meets at noon on Oct. 6.
County of Door: Two new county board supervisors were sworn in at the board’s monthly meeting held Sept. 29. Helen Bacon assumed the 7th District seat in Sturgeon Bay that was vacated by Ben Meyer when he was hired as a fourth grade teacher by the Sturgeon Bay School District. Bacon is a retired RN supervisor at Ministry Health Care. She was assigned to serve on the Library Board, Human Services Board, Board of Health and the Ad Hoc Jingdezhen Sister City Informal Advisory Group. Gibraltar Town Board Supervisor Steve Sohns was appointed to the District 18 seat vacated by Holly Runquist. He will also serve on the Board of Health, as well as the Legislative and Property Committees. District 18 serves the Town of Gibraltar and the Village of Ephraim.
Town of Clay Banks: The town board meets at 6 pm on Oct. 8.
Town of Gibraltar: The town board meets at 7 pm on Oct. 7.
Town of Jacksonport: The Parks Committee meets at 7 pm on Oct. 5. The Planning Commission meets at 8:30 am on Oct. 6.
Town of Liberty Grove: Town Chair John Lowry recently sent a letter to property owners along Beach Road, filling them in on improvements planned for the road. The work begins this fall with the removal of 115 trees, 75 of which are dead, dying, diseased or posing a public safety hazard. The rest of the resurfacing work will be done the spring and summer of 2016.
The Highway Committee meets at 8 am on Oct. 5. The Technology Committee meets at 7 pm on Oct. 5. The Parks and Property Committee meets at 8 am on Oct. 6. The Personnel and Sanitary District Committees meet at 6:15 pm on Oct. 7, followed by a town board meeting at 7 pm.
Town of Sevastopol: The town board has scheduled a 2016 budget work session for 6 pm on Oct. 13.
Village of Egg Harbor: The Parks and Public Works Committee meets at 8:30 am on Oct. 7.
Village of Sister Bay: The Utilities Committee meets at 7 am on Oct. 6. The Parks Committee meets at 2 pm on Oct. 7.
