Mushroom Hike at Crossroads

Be at Crossroads at Big Creek on Oct. 5, 10 am – 12 pm, to search for and learn about mushrooms during a hike with naturalist and mushroom expert Charlotte Lukes. The program is free, but it’s limited to 15 participants. Sign up by email at [email protected], and meet at the Collins Learning Center.

Wild Ones of Door County will host “garden tours” Oct. 10, 7 pm, at the Collins Learning Center. Members Karen Newbern, Mary Goodner, John Stiefel and Coggin Heeringa will share mini slide-show tours of their landscapes to spark ideas for using native plants in your yard.

Crossroads is a donor-supported preserve that’s open to the public free of charge. Fall hours at the Collins Learning Center, 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, are weekdays, 10 am – 4 pm; and weekends, 1-4 pm.
