Musicales Return to Shepherd of the Bay

On three Sundays in March at 4 pm, musicians of Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church will present a series of Musicales in Lent. The public is invited to attend these concerts. The first musicale is scheduled for March 16, and features the Sanctuary Choir and Handbells, led by Gladys Austgen, Director of Music. Organist Naomi Rowley will be joined by guest musician Nancy Reichmann, playing oboe and English horn, for the concert on March 23. Pianists Judith and Carl Jackson conclude the series with a program of music for two pianos on March 30.

Since 2008 the musicians of Shepherd of the Bay have offered annually a series of Musicales in Lent, concerts around thirty to forth minutes in length, as opportunities for the community to enjoy music reflective of this season of the year, when we anticipate the coming of spring as the harbinger of life and renewal.
