Musician of the Heart

On Aug. 5 at 7 pm, the Ministry Door County Medical Center “Music In The Garden” Concert series, located on the hospital green space next to The Community’s Garden on 16th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay, will present Hans Christian.

Christian’s versatility as performer, recording artist, and producer for more than 25 years has created a legacy of concerts and recordings that have touched people’s hearts around the world.

Originally from Germany, Christian started his musical career in Los Angeles and developed his skills as musician, producer and recording engineer in some of the finest recording studios. A persistent exploration of his own music catapulted him into the echelon of eclectic artists that defy easy categorisation.

In his solo concerts, his unmistakable cello playing moves the listener with a haunting beauty, and his use of live looping and various ethnic string instruments expresses a universal musical language that transcends boundaries, cultures and generations. Besides the cello, Christian also performs on the Swedish nyckelharpa and the Indian sarangi and sitara.

Audience members should bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. The Hans Christian concert is free. For more information call 920.493.5979. In case of rain, the concert will be held at the Door County Fire Company in Sturgeon Bay.
