Gearing up for the midterm elections this November, more than 3,500 groups across the country will mobilize to celebrate National Voter Registration Day on Sept. 25. The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin will join this effort. Leagues in communities across the state will participate in National Voter Registration Day by helping voters register to vote. All of the events are planned to empower voters to make their voice heard in the upcoming election and beyond. Leagues across the state will hold voter registration drives throughout the week and will continue holding outreach events as the Nov. 6 election approaches. Wisconsin is fortunate to have Election Day Registration making it so voters can show up to the polls, register, and vote all on Election Day. Even with Election Day Registration, the League recommends voters register in advance of the election. Wisconsin residents can find a National Voter Registration Day event near them online at NationalVoterRegistrationDay.org and can register to vote online at myvote.wi.gov.
