Native Planting in the County

The Door County Master Gardeners Association’s free program for March 13, 7 pm is “Native Plant Restoration, Learning from the Natural Areas of Door County” with Terrie Cooper. Held at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay, the program will have attendees thinking about spring.

During the program Cooper will share her take on how private land restoration leverages the mission of the Door County Land Trust. She will share how the Land Trust’s work protects the county’s native landscapes. Each landowner contributes to the countywide conservation effort to build a network favorable for native plants and animals, water quality and quality of life. She will share conservation maps and pictures of preserves, native plants and landscapes.

This program is free and open to the public. For more information email [email protected].
