A coalition of Door County health and human-services organizations will host a volunteer fair April 20, 9 am – 12 pm, at the Aging & Disability Resource Center, 916 N. 14th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay. With a focus on “people helping people,” the organizers seek to create awareness of the wide variety of volunteer opportunities available in the county, and the fair will coincide with National Volunteer Week, April 17-23.
Participating organizations include ARDC of Door County, Door County Connect, Door County Medical Center Auxiliary, Door-Tran, Family Services, Habitat for Humanity, Healthy Door County, HELP of Door County, JAK’s Place, Neighbor to Neighbor, PFLAG Door County, Scandia Village and We Are HOPE.
The volunteer fair is accepting reservations from interested organizations through March 11. There is no registration fee, but space is limited. Questions? Contact Nicki Scharrig at 920.746.2372 or [email protected]
