Neighbor to Neighbor Receives Grant for Bariatric-Size Medical Equipment

The Green Bay Packers Foundation has awarded a grant of $1,500 to Neighbor to Neighbor Volunteer Caregivers to support their Medical Equipment Loan Program through the purchase of bariatric-sized medical equipment to accommodate individuals weighing up to 500 lbs. and labeling for the medical equipment.

Neighbor to Neighbor is a local nonprofit organization that provides short-term medical equipment loans for people of all ages, peer companions for homebound elderly individuals, respite care for primary caregivers, and the Lemonade Club, a cancer survivor support group. All services are provided free of charge.

During the holidays, the Neighbor to Neighbor office and medical equipment facilities will be closed for a few days to allow for their volunteers to spend time with their loved ones. Neighbor to Neighbor will be closed on the weekends, as usual; in addition, the office will be closed Dec. 23 and the medical equipment programs and the office will be closed Dec. 26 for the Christmas holiday and on Jan. 2 for the New Year’s holiday. Neighbor to Neighbor requests that you plan ahead if you will be in need of medical equipment over the holidays.
