Neighbor to Neighbor Receives Grant from Greater Green Bay Community Foundation

The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, through the R. Bruce and Alyce S. Kopseker Trust, has awarded a grant of $2,500 to Neighbor to Neighbor Volunteer Caregivers to support their Northern Door and Washington Island Medical Equipment Loan Programs through the purchase of durable medical equipment. The Northern Door facility will receive wheelchairs, transport chairs, standard walkers for tall individuals, knee walkers, and bed rails and the Washington Island facility will receive four-wheeled walkers, shower benches, walker brake cable repair kits, and a metal shelving unit.

Grants through the R. Bruce and Alyce S. Kopseker Trust support projects that serve those over 60 years of age, who live primarily north of Sturgeon Bay in Door County, to help them remain healthy and independent in their homes.

Neighbor to Neighbor is a local nonprofit organization that provides short-term medical equipment loans for people of all ages, peer companions for homebound elderly or disabled individuals, respite care for primary caregivers, and the Lemonade Club, a cancer patient/survivor support group. All services are provided free of charge. For more information call 920.743.7800.
