Neighbor to Neighbor Receives Grants

The local nonprofit Neighbor to Neighbor has recently received three grants to support its medical-equipment loan program. 

The Green Bay Packers Foundation has awarded a grant of $3,000. The Door County Community Foundation has also awarded one grant for $7,286 through the Connolly Family Charitable Fund, the Bob and Connie Erickson Charitable Fund, the Bernice and Gene Hawkins Charitable Fund and the Mike and Marge McCoy Family Foundation; and a second grant for $926 through the Door County Emergency Response Fund. 

They will be used to purchase new hospital beds, mattresses, bed rails, parts to upgrade existing equipment and other items. 

Neighbor to Neighbor provides short-term medical-equipment loans, peer companions for homebound individuals, respite for family caregivers and the Lemonade Club cancer-survivor support group. All services are provided free of charge. Call 920.743.7800 to learn more.
