Neighbor to Neighbor Receives Rib Fest Funding from Catholic Financial Life

Catholic Financial Life – Chapter 180 – Maplewood presented Neighbor to Neighbor with supplemental funding for their Rib Fest event. The Chapter additionally supported the event through the donation of desserts and supplies and by providing volunteers for planning, set up, and at the event.

Neighbor to Neighbor is a local nonprofit organization that provides peer companions for homebound elderly individuals, respite care for primary caregivers, short-term medical equipment loans for people of all ages, and the Lemonade Club, a cancer patient/survivor support group. All services are provided free of charge. Rib Fest funds directly support Neighbor to Neighbor programming and all funding is used locally. In 2016, 1,582 individuals were served by Neighbor to Neighbor, saving these individuals more than $400,000 in medical expenses through the use of these programs.
