Neighbor to Neighbor Selected as Charity of Choice

Ministry Spiritual Services Director Susan Johnson presents a check for $1,500 to Ann Bennett of Neighbor to Neighbor.

Ministry Door County Medical Center announces Neighbor to Neighbor was selected as the charity of choice by Ministry employees during their annual Mission and Values Week. Ministry presented a check for $1,500 to Neighbor to Neighbor, a local organization that provides services for caregivers.

“This year, employees nominated 15 different organizations,” says Susan Johnson, spiritual services director at Ministry. “Then we had a voting process, and Neighbor to Neighbor was selected as our charity for this year.”

“As community members and volunteers, Ministry employees have many ties to local charities,” adds Johnson. “Our ability to make a financial gift to a select charity is in keeping with our mission of improving the health and well-being of all people, especially those in need.”

Neighbor to Neighbor provides volunteer services including medical equipment loans, peer companions, and respite for caregivers. Ministry will help sponsor Neighbor to Neighbor’s upcoming sixth annual Rib Fest Fundraiser, to be held Nov. 1 at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club. Call 920.743.7800 for tickets.
