New Board Member for Gibraltar School District

Karen Nordahl was recently appointed to the Gibraltar School Board to fill a vacancy. A parent of an eighth-grader and ninth-grader in the school, Nordahl said she’s working to become an effective representative while “learning about district priorities from the perspective of our students, faculty, staff, parents and the community.”

Growing up in Pewaukee, she and her family frequently visited her grandparents in Door County and enjoyed sailing up and down the peninsula. She met her husband in Door County, and they moved here when they married in 2005.

Nordahl serves as vice president of health economics and market access for Boston Scientific, a global medical-device manufacturer. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and a master’s from Cardinal Stritch, and she has supported local organizations as a board member and volunteer.

“My career in marketing and health policy has provided me with multiple opportunities to set objectives, lead teams, manage budgets, make hiring decisions, analyze complex problems and execute on strategic initiatives to achieve positive results,” she said.
