New Board Members, Staff at Crossroads

Lana Billeaud and Tom Krueger have joined the board of the Crossroads at Big Creek nature preserve, and Brian Baumgart has joined its staff.

Billeaud was an engineer on many projects in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Latin America, and managed a scientific research project for Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University. 

Krueger practiced law in Chicago for 38 years, the last 34 with the Office of the Regional Counsel for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, focusing primarily on Superfund and hazardous-waste enforcement and permitting.

Baumgart joined the Crossroads staff as office manager in late 2022. A retired financial executive and CPA, he oversees Crossroads’ day-to-day accounting, financial-statement preparation, operating-budget creation and general office operations.
