New Children’s Book Set in Door County

Wyatt’s Woods, the most recent offering from author, Harold Thorpe, is a heartwarming tale of a boy and his adventures in the woods of Door County.

Wyatt’s Woods is Thorpe’s first children’s book, but fans should watch for Aubrey’s Attic, Grayson’s Garage, and Bellamy’s Ball to be released in the near future.

“The inspiration for Wyatt’s Woods was my young grandson and the woods surrounding our family cabin [in Door County],” said Thorpe. “The cabin is a haven for my family, bringing three generations together under a canopy of trees.”

Book signings will be held at the following Door County locations: Novel Ideas in Baileys Harbor, Sept. 29, 1 – 3 pm; Child’s Play in Sturgeon Bay, Oct. 12, 10 am – 12 pm; Dairy View Country Store in Carlsville, Oct. 17, 11 am – 3 pm; Bookworld in Sister Bay, Oct. 18, 1 – 4 pm; Bookworld in Sturgeon Bay, Oct. 19, 11 am – 1 pm; and Kids Works in Fish Creek, Oct. 20, 11 am – 2 pm.

Wyatt’s Woods may be purchased at Jacksonport Craft Cottage, Novel Ideas, Blue Willow, Kids Works, Dairy View Country Store, Child’s Play and both Bookworld locations.
