New Facebook Group for Artists

Several Sturgeon Bay artists have joined together to create an armchair art show on a new Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SturgeonBayPainters. Dubbed the Sturgeon Bay Painting a Day Group, this Facebook page features paintings created and posted daily throughout the month of January by nine Sturgeon Bay (Door County) artists. They are: Sarah Bradley, Karen DeNoto, Faith Frykman, Lynn Gilchrist, Bethany Kerwin, Pat Olson, Kristi Roenning, Madonna Siles and Barbara Sweeney. Everybody is invited to visit the Facebook page and “like” a particular painting, or leave a comment for an artist, or simply join the 125 fans who already “like” the page. It’s fun and free. As group organizer Pat Olson quips, “The more, the merrier. We love positive reinforcement. It inspires us.”

In addition, Pat Olson and friends are planning a mini art show in early February where many of these small (and affordable) paintings will be offered for sale. More details will be available soon.
