New Fall Fest Favorite

Fall Fest’s musical line-up promises to please the crowd this weekend – Door County favorites including Modern Day Drifters, Hoi Polloi, The Nicks, and Unity will take to the Sister Bay stages. A band not many may recognize on the roster (though Door County’s starting to change that) is Muddy Udders, performing Oct. 12 at Husby’s.

This trio based out of Green Bay features multi-instrumentalists Matty Day, Augie Barnhart, and Roelke Barnhart – Wisconsinites who bonded over their love of music and good times. They showcase an indefinable blend of genres – think honkey tonk hyped up on Red Bull, spiked with some rock, some roll, and some pop. They perform fast-paced, high-energy original songs jammed packed with wit and mischief – consider these titles: “Rugburn,” “I’m a Man (Sort Of),” “Cattle of the Bands,” and “God Invented Soda.” They, refreshingly, don’t take their plights in life, or seemingly their music, that seriously – part of the reason it’s so damn good and fun.

No doubt you will be dancing and rocking out on an air guitar while you celebrate Fall Fest with three guys who love a good old-fashioned Wisconsin bar (featuring good old-fashioned awesome live music) as much as the rest of us. Check them out!

Muddy Udders will perform 10 pm – close at Husby’s, kicking off the rambunctious nights Fall Fest is known for. (Stay sober enough to appreciate this band’s talent – you’ll be happy you did!)
