New Interpretive Trail Signage at Ellison Bluff County Park

The Door County Facilities and Parks Department officially unveiled new interpretive trail signage along a 1.3-mile hiking trail at Ellison Bluff County Park on June 29.

The signs were created using memorial gifts from the family and friends of the late Norbert “Trip” Kroening III. The Friends of Door County Parks and the Facilities and Parks Department partnered to develop the information on the signs.

“This project is a first-of-its-kind opportunity within a Door County Park,” Parks Superintendent Ben Nelson said. “Visitors to this park can now learn the story of the park and can fully appreciate the geologic and human history as well as the flora and fauna of this 174-acre park.”
