New Peer Counselor Hired for Breastfeeding Support Group

Door County WIC has hired Julie Neuchter as the peer breastfeeding counselor for the Breastfeeding Support Group. Neuchter has two sons that she tandem nursed so she has lots of experience to offer other mothers who wish to breastfeed. She will host the support group every first Wednesday of the month at Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church, 323 S. 5th Ave, in their nursery from 10:30 am until noon. Light refreshments will be provided along with lots of toys for children to play with. Every month has a topic that will be discussed, but any breastfeeding issue or triumph is welcome to be brought up. The Breastfeeding Support Group is open to all mothers and pregnant women are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact Neuchter at 920.493.2577.
