New Poetry Collection by Karen Wilson

Karen Wilson is no stranger to the Door County poetry scene, having participated in workshops and critique groups since 2003. She’s also been a featured poet in the Dickinson poetry series and the Peninsula Pulse, and she’s a founding member of the Door County Poets Collective. 

Now Baileys Harbor publisher Sand Beach Press has released a collection of Wilson’s work, Poems to the Wind. As a conservationist, she writes poetry that is deeply informed by nature, and other works focus on personal relationships, the influences of childhood, our place in the world and the awareness of mortality.

Wilson will read selected poems from her new book at Write On, Door County, 4210 Juddville Road in Fish Creek, on Oct. 6, 4-5 pm. Light refreshments will be served, and copies of the book will be available for signing by both the poet and artist Ralph Murre, who created sketches for it.
