New Season Begins for Door County MOPS

The Door County Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group will start a new season on Sept. 24 at 9 am at Prince of Peace Church in Sturgeon Bay.

Open to all moms from their time of pregnancy until their child graduates from kindergarten, this year’s theme is “A Beautiful Mess,” embracing beauty in the midst of mothering young children.

Meeting on the second and fourth Tuesdays from 9 – 11 am each month through May, moms get a chance to enjoy a warm breakfast, informative speakers, small groups and fun crafts. Also available to all MOPS moms at meetings is a free childcare program called MOPPETS.

“Our group truly shows the range of moms we welcome into MOPS. From married moms to single moms, working moms to stay-at-home moms, to moms of multiples and moms of just one, we all gather with one thing in common — to encourage, support and build community among moms, ” said MOPS co-coordinator Jessie Bruss.

MOPS will hold a garage sale fundraiser the last weekend of September. To donate items, contact group coordinators Jess (920.420.2000) or Kayla (920.493.6364) or find Sturgeon Bay MOPS on Facebook.
