New Season for Peninsula New Horizons Band

As more Door County adults retire and find time on their hands, they are frequently rediscovering old hobbies and pastimes, or looking for new ones. The Peninsula New Horizons Band (PNHB) program was developed for adults who wish to learn to play a band instrument, or re-learn an instrument they used to play.

The Peninsula New Horizons Band welcomes new and returning members to join. For students who wish to learn and play woodwind, brass and percussion instruments, the fall/winter season is 10 weeks long. Lessons and classes are every Thursday, Sept. 27 through Dec. 6, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, at Bay View Lutheran in Sturgeon Bay. The cost is $10 per two-hour session or $100 for the whole season.

Founding member Paula Eggert is the Band’s conductor and lead instructor, assisted by co-founder Kathy Krauss. Anika Enger, Mark Fischer, and Amy Johnson continue as additional instructors.
