Dancin’ on the Door in Egg Harbor is offering restorative yoga classes, beginning Jan. 8 at 9:15 am. Classes will be led by Rebecca Sheesley.
Restorative yoga is intended to take the mindfulness that is found in all forms of yoga to the next level. It is the centering of your breath and body – aligning the physical and the mental by practicing stillness or gentle movement for an extended period of time. This 60-minute class is comprised of five poses, with each pose being held for five to10 minutes. Sheesley will assist the students in finding their way into each pose and props will allow you to hold the poses for extended periods of time. Gentle music, readings and essential oils are used throughout the class to further enhance the student’s relaxation. Registration is required for this class as part of the eleven-week winter session, running Jan. 8 – March 18.
Sheesley will also offer an all-levels, 75-minute Hatha Yoga Class on Fridays from 10:30 to 11:45 am. Session sign-up or drop-in participation are both available for this class.
