New Year, New You

Each year, millions of Americans make a resolution to get fit on Jan. 1, but three months later, 80 percent of those folks will no longer be walking through the gym door. Don’t be part of that statistic – let group exercise guide you in realizing your resolution.

The variety of group exercise classes at the Door County Y’s Northern Door Program Center provide a fun, supportive environment where working out feels more like hanging out.

Not sure what group exercise class is for you? No problem. Swing into the Y on Jan. 3 for the opportunity to sample eight different classes. If you’re already a believer in the power of group exercise, this jam-packed morning will highlight new options, instructors, motivational music and a great atmosphere.

• 8 – 8:45 am: PiYo Strength (Weth Room)

• 9 – 10 am: Les Mills Body Pump Launch, Release 92 (Baer Room)

• 9:15 – 10 am: Silver Sneakers Classic (Weth Room)

• 10:15 – 10:45 am: INSANITY (Gym); Foam Rolling for Self Massage (Weth Room)

• 10:30 – 11:30am: Tai Chi Movement (Baer Room)

• 11 am – 12 pm: Cycle (Weth Room)

• 11:15 am – 12 pm: SUP Fitness (Pool)

Whether a rookie or a veteran to group exercise, commit to Launch a New Year & a New You early; space is limited. Classes are free for Y members; $3/class for non-members (non-members who pre-register by Jan. 2 at noon will not have to pay the $10 daily fee to participate in the event).
