Newly Developed Aging and Disability Resource Center Holds Open House

(Left to right) Jake Erickson, Information and Assistance Specialist; Mike VanEss, Director; Robin Mark, Receptionist; and Patti Peterson, Information and Assistance Specialist, will be on hand at the ADRC Open House on April 25 to introduce the community to the new program.

A new program, aimed at assisting the elderly and adults with physical or developmental challenges, was recently introduced to the county – The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC). Many elderly and physical or developmentally challenged residents experience confusion regarding where to go for help with transportation or health-related issues. This program, free of charge and tailored to the needs of the customer, can help.

Staff can be reached Monday through Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm. Home visits can also be set up with one of the two Information and Assistance Specialists, Patti Peterson and Jake Erickson.

Mike VanEss, ADRC Director, said, “Patti and Jake are not only knowledgeable, but personable. People find that they’re kind and easy to talk to.”

The ADRC will host a Community Open House on April 25, 2 – 6 pm, at their offices at 421 Nebraska Street in Sturgeon Bay. The public is welcome. For more information, call 920.746.2372 or 855.828.2372.
