Door County Home Sales Up Slightly
Home sales in Door County were up slightly in 2011. A total of 438 homes were sold in 2011, up from 409 in 2010. In 2007 there were 547 homes sold in the county.

Gibraltar Approves Locker Room Renovations
The Gibraltar School Board approved the renovation of its high school locker rooms, weight room, and storage areas. The boys athletic locker room is currently housed in a former storage room with little floor space and ventilation, and has no direct access to a school hallway.

Elizabeth Guenzel, Champion of Door County Arts, Dies
Elizabeth Guenzel was a crucial figure in the reorganization of the Peninsula Art School, Friends of Gibraltar, and as a contributor to many other Door County organizations. She died Tuesday at age 94 in Illinois.
