Egg Harbor Buys Former Lena’s Building for Library
The long line of short-lived taverns that have called the old Lena’s Sip and Chat building home since long-time bar-keep Lena Schultz sold it in 1995 has come to an end. The Village of Egg Harbor bought the old tavern in downtown Egg Harbor for $350,000 to construct an expanded library and public space.

Wisconsin Senator Frank Lasee has pulled his proposal to exempt second home and condo rentals from lodging industry rules off the legislative agenda. Lasee’s bill, SB 482, would have exempted residential or vacation home rentals of seven days or longer from lodging regulations and inspections, including room tax.
