    Sylvia Ferdon, Baileys Harbor summer resident and ladies head golf coach at Baylor University, was recently named Big 12 Coach of the Year for the 2009 season.

    The Clearing Folk School’s 9-hole golf scramble, Play “Fore!” The Clearing, is scheduled for Monday, June 29 at Maxwelton Braes Golf Resort with a shotgun start at 10 am.

    2009 spring golf kicked off with two hole-in-ones, on the same day, at the same golf course, on the same hole! Both occurred on May 8 on hole number three at The Orchards, although the two golfers were not playing together.
