Next Lake Lesson Covers Breeding Birds and Climate Change

The next Lake Lesson Speaker Series program, “Birds on the Move” is Aug. 11 at 7 pm. Join in on this discussion on how breeding birds in the U.S. have been affected by climate change and extreme events in the recent past and how things could change over the rest of this century. Leading this discussion is Brooke Bateman, a postdoctoral research associate at UW-Madison in the Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology, who has focused on the effects of extreme weather events and climate change on species. Lake Lessons programs are held at The Ridges Cook-Albert Fuller Nature Center, 8166 Hwy 57 in Baileys Harbor. Admission is free. For more information , visit RidgesSanctuary.org or call 920.839.2802.
