Nick Kita Named To Baseball All-Conference Team

The Ripon College baseball team received three all-conference selections on May 12 as senior Nick Schmitt and sophomores Nick Kita and Drew Slade did the honors. The Red Hawks’ three selections are tied for the second-most among the five Midwest Conference North Division teams.

Kita is making an appearance on the All-Conference team for the second time in as many years. He led the Red Hawks in both batting average (.336) and hits (44), while tying for the team lead in triples (1). An Educational Studies major from Baileys Harbor, Kita was also tied for second on the team in runs scored (18), while adding four doubles, one home run and 18 RBI. In 16 conference games, Kita batted .375 with three doubles, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored. For more information visit redhawks.ripon.edu.
