Nine Door County Drop-Off Sites for ‘Big Bundle Up’ Campaign

Door County’s tourism industry is currently collecting new and gently used coats, scarves, hats, mittens and other warm clothing items as part of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s “Big Bundle Up” donation campaign. The campaign is a statewide collection program that runs from now through Jan. 2, 2018. All items donated locally will stay in Door County and be distributed throughout the county.

Nine different tourism organizations in Door County have committed to participate in this year’s “Big Bundle Up” cold weather clothing drive. A container will be located at participating locations for donors to drop off new or gently used clothing items. Drop-off locations are: Door County Visitor Bureau Welcome Center, 1015 Green Bay Road, Sturgeon Bay; Baileys Harbor Town Hall, 2392 County F; Door Peninsula Winery, 5806 Hwy 42, Carlsville; Liberty Grove Town Hall, 11161 Old Stage Road, Sister Bay; Nicolet Bank, 7842 Hwy 42, Egg Harbor; Fish Creek Civic Association, 4097 Main St.; Jacksonport Cottage, 6275 Hwy 57; Sister Bay Visitor Center, 10668 N. Bay Shore Drive (Hwy 42); Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center, 36 S. Third Ave.

Jen Rogers, communication and PR manager for the Door County Visitor Bureau, is helping organize this year’s effort in Door County. “Last year we had a record-breaking year with 1,300 items donated locally,” Rogers said. “I hope we can continue the amazing goodwill in the community and donate to more great causes this year.”
