During the COVID-19 crisis, our community has been blessed with “everyday responders”: ordinary people who have stepped forward to volunteer and help their neighbors however they can.
Everyday responders have been delivering meals, staffing food pantries, taking care of kids, sewing face masks and doing many other selfless things to keep our community strong.
The Door County Community Foundation has partnered with the Peninsula Pulse to sponsor a celebration of these people going above and beyond the neighborly call of duty. We’re asking readers to nominate people who deserve to be publicly recognized as Door County Everyday Responders. The selected individuals will be celebrated in a special section of the Labor Day issue of the Peninsula Pulse.
To nominate an Everyday Hero, visit DoorCountyStrong.org. It’s fast, simple, and is a way to give a public thank you to those lending a hand. Submit nominations by Friday, Aug. 28.
