Nominate A Lake Michigan Champion of Conservation

It’s time to nominate a favorite Lake Michigan Champion of Conservation for the annual 2016 Lake Michigan Champions of Conservation Awards, sponsored by the Lake Michigan Stakeholders.

This environmental award program recognizes and honors the outstanding achievements in four categories: individuals, businesses, community organizations and policymakers. Nominations are open to any group, program, organization, business, or individual located and working on the restoration, improvement or enhancement of Lake Michigan or any of the watersheds that flow into the lake as part of the Lake Michigan basin.

Each year’s winners represent significant achievements in water resources protection, environmental education and outreach, land use protection, and habitat restoration.

The awards will be presented at the annual Lake Michigan Day on August 12. Nominate your champion by April 15 at lakemichiganstakeholders.org/champions-award.
