Nominations Open Dec. 1 for Spring Nominations

Yes, we’ve just finished one election, but already municipalities across the county are beginning to serve notice of spring elections, which will be held April 6, 2021. 

The first day when candidates may circulate nomination papers is Dec. 1, with the final deadline for filing the papers set for Jan. 5, 2021, by 5 pm. If a primary is necessary, it will be held Feb. 16, 2021.

The last day when an incumbent officeholder who does not intend to seek reelection may declare noncandidacy is Dec. 25, 5 pm.
