North Ephraim Movie Theater to Show Independent Movies throughout Summer

The North Ephraim Movie Theater will open for the season on June 9 and will show films at 9 pm every Saturday night through Aug. 31.

North Ephraim Movie Theater will showcase independent movies from across the nation. The first movie shown will be the locally produced drama Not There Yet, written and directed by Chris Opper and starring Meghan Holly, David Smrz and Casey Riley.

The Story of Luke, starring Lou Taylor Pucci, Seth Green, Cary Elwes and Kristin Bauer, is a comedy about a young man with autism who is on a quest for a job and a girlfriend.

Confessions of a Sailor film retells the 1958 wreck of the Carl D. Bradley, as a young feature-writer searches for answers to some of life’s deepest questions. Confessions is directed by Door County’s own Kurt Krauss.

Dead Weight is the story of Charlie Russell trekking through the wilderness to reunite with his girlfriend Samantha in the wake of an apocalyptic viral outbreak.

Admission is $5. This is an outdoor event, so bring a blanket or favorite lawn chair.
