Northern Door Children’s Center Introduces ‘Change a Child Forever’ Campaign

Northern Door Children’s Center (NDCC) recently introduced the campaign, “Change a Child Forever: Support Excellent Early Childhood Education.” Represented by a gold ribbon, the campaign is designed to raise awareness of the importance of high-quality early care and education programs in the healthy development of young children.

According to Executive Director Cindy Trinkner-Peot, recent winner of the Outstanding Service Award from the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association: “Our aim with the Gold Ribbon Campaign is to bring this issue to the attention of families and community members, not just in Door County, but across Wisconsin and the rest of the country. Both individual families and communities can educate themselves and demand the highest level of quality in the early care and education their children receive.”

The new NDCC website has a section titled Gold Ribbon Campaign. This page has a direct link to a list of what to look for in high-quality early care and education programs. In addition, there is a link to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) with more information.

NDCC is located at 10520 Judith Blazer Drive, Sister Bay. Tax-deductible donations can be made online at northerndoorchildrenscenter.org. For more information, call 920.854.4244 or email [email protected].
