Recent graduates and instructors from the DNR Snowmobile Class smile for the camera after completing the course at the Sister Bay Fire Station. Students learned how to safely and responsibly handle a snowmobile, in a discussion that also covered ice safety and the role that speed, alcohol, and night riding play in the cause of most accidents.
DNR Instructors Jim Robinson, Conservation Warden Mike Neal, and helpers Scotty Weborg, Ronnie Robinson, Carson and Cora Orrick, and Collin Strege led the class. Arnie Olson and Tammy Voeks provided lunch.
The DNR offers a special thanks to the Sister Bay Liberty Grove Fire Department and Village of Sister Bay for use of the Fire Station, The Door County Trails Association and Top O’ The Thumb Snowmobile Club and to the many generous landowners who allow snowmobile trails to cross their property for the enjoyment of Door County residents and visitors.
