Northern Door YMCA Welcomes New Administrative Staff

The Northern Door County YMCA has added a few members to their staff, including Matt Luders, Laurie Thiede and Eric Caple, all of whom will help take the center in an exciting new direction.

Matt Luders has been hired as the new leader for the Northern Door Program Center. Luders will be stepping into the brand new role of Relationship Development Manager, where his primary focus in this new post will be putting the pieces and people in place to help the organization make new friends and strengthen and develop the relationships that already exist.

Dan Powell, CEO for the Door County YMCA, reflects, “We are delighted to have Matt join our staff team. His skills at fostering and building relationships will be a great asset to our organization as we look for opportunities to have our Northern Door Program Center be a favorite neighbor in the community.”

Laurie Thiede will also be working out of the Northern Door Program Center as the Senior Program Director. In this role, Thiede will be overseeing all of the programming in Northern Door and leading the outreach charge to bring programs to members throughout the area. Thiede has been part of the YMCA team in various roles for more than nineteen years.

“Her promotion to the role of Senior Program Director is a perfect fit for her,” said Powell.

The Northern Door YMCA also welcomes Eric Caple as Building Services Director. Caple is a lifetime resident in Door County and brings with him a wealth of experience in building maintenance and landscape design.
