Northern Sky Establishes Yearly Scholarship

Northern Sky Theater and Werner and Sue Krause have established an annual scholarship to support a Door County high school senior who plans to study theater arts or music performance at a postsecondary educational institution.

“As patrons of performing-arts organizations throughout the state, we are keenly aware of the joy that live theater and music performances bring to audiences young and old,” Werner Krause said. “This is particularly true of Northern Sky. They’ve been bringing generations of families like ours together to watch live theater for decades.”

The Northern Sky Theater Werner and Sue Krause Scholarship is available to students pursuing a degree in theater or music performance, who exhibit a love for theater or music performance, and who have participated in the performing arts throughout their high school career.

Candidates must be high school seniors who plan to attend a postsecondary educational institution full time or part time in the fall of the academic year following graduation.

The application is available in the online database of the Door County Scholarship Network or at NorthernSkyTheater.com. The application deadline is April 1.
