Northern Sky Theater and Werner and Sue Krause Announce Second Annual Scholarship

Northern Sky Theater and Werner and Sue Krause have announced their second annual scholarship to support a Door County high school senior who’s pursuing a course of study in theater arts or music performance.

“As patrons of performing-arts organizations throughout the state, we are keenly aware of the joy that live theater and music performances bring to audiences young and old,” Werner Krause said. “This is particularly true of Northern Sky. They’ve been bringing generations of families like ours together to watch live theater for decades. We are pleased to support the young people of Door County in pursuing their dreams and careers in the arts.”

Candidates must be in the final academic year of their secondary education and plan to attend a postsecondary educational institution full time or part time during the fall of the academic year following graduation. Last year’s recipients were Kole Mallien of Sturgeon Bay and Natalie Meikle of Sevastopol. The scholarship application is available in the online database of the Door County Scholarship network at doorcountyscholarships.org. The application deadline is April 1.
