Northern Sky Theater Offers Free Tickets to Door County Students

Northern Sky Theater will once again invite all Door County students to a complimentary evening of entertainment under the stars. Northern Sky will distribute nearly 4,000 free tickets to every elementary, middle and high school student at all five Door County schools as well as area homeschooling students.

“We always try to foster an inviting, cross-generational, family-friendly cultural experience. We’ve been told as much by reviewers that see shows throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. This is also one way we try to reach out, promote and help build the next generation of theater-going audience,” said Holly Feldman, Director of Development and Public Relations.

The ticket includes an opportunity to see three of the company’s summer shows at Peninsula State Park. Each of these shows takes place in a unique decade in American history.

“When you add up the three shows, on average, that’s nearly $100,000 in ticket value being offered to the youth of our community,” stated Northern Sky Board Chair, Mary Seeberg. “That’s quite the investment, but it’s in keeping with Northern Sky’s mission to foster a love of theater at a young age.”

Tickets will be distributed the week of May 22 and should be in the student’s hands by summer vacation. Parents are encouraged to check their school office in the event they do not receive a ticket.
