Northern Sky’s Creative Center Earns Commercial Design Award

Northern Sky Theater’s Creative Center and Gould Theater in Fish Creek, designed by the Madison-based firm Strang, has earned In Business’s 2020 Commercial Design Award for Best New Development or Renovation in the Retail Category. The annual awards recognize the best commercial design projects built in the state.

The Creative Center comprises 23,600 square feet of space and houses the theater, box office, storage areas and rehearsal space all on one property. Before the completion of this project, the theater company operated without a permanent home, renting out space across the county to maintain its daily operations and develop performances for its 35,000 annual visitors.

The Creative Center and Gould Theater will be celebrated along with other awardees during an April 1 ceremony in Madison.
