Northern Sky’s ‘Double Doug Dare’

The first of the “Double Doug Dare” events will air Aug. 29, 7 pm, titled “When Life Gives Ya cLemons”: a live, high-energy, fun, interactive cabaret performance featuring Doug Clemons. Submitted.

Northern Sky Theater will kick off its autumn virtual season with dual-concert fun: “Double Doug Dare” events that will be broadcast live via Zoom.

The first will be Aug. 29, 7 pm, titled When Life Gives Ya cLemons: a live, high-energy, fun, interactive cabaret performance featuring Doug Clemons. He will broadcast this cabaret from the patio of the Gould Theater and perform selections from Northern Sky shows, classic Broadway musicals and The Great American Songbook. 

The second will be Sept. 4, 7 pm, titled Mancheski Playlist: a live concert of songs curated and co-hosted by Doug Mancheski, who’s been a Northern Sky staple for 23 seasons. But what are his favorite musical moments? Audiences will find out during this event, when company members from near and far unite in the virtual world to perform a set of songs that Mancheski selected.
