Norwegian Jazz

Painted Recordings and James May North host the Norwegian Jazz group Cortex on Sept. 22, 7 pm in Algoma. The group is comprised of Thomas Johansson, Kristoffer Berre Alberts, Ola Høyer, and Gard Nilssen.
Cortex is a spirited combo that plays energetic jazz of the finest brand. They have been active since 2007, and have performed more than 200 live performances and released five critically acclaimed albums. The band positions itself as one of the strongest additions to the Norwegian jazz scene, and the members are amongst the most sought after young jazz performers in Norway today. 
James May North is located at 219 State St. in Algoma. The doors open at 6:30 pm and tickets are $15.
