Nov. 1 Fish Creek Highway Construction Update

Traffic will be slowed again this week in Fish Creek, where crews continue to work on storm sewer installation along Highway 42 from Windmill Lane to County F. Crews will pour concrete curb and gutter along Shore Road at the entrance to Peninsula State Park, and begin pouring concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk repairs along the highway from Bluff Lane to Shore Road. Work is also continuing on the retaining walls between Windmill Lane and County F.

As work continues southbound traffic on Highway 42 will be detoured down County F to County A, with flagging operations for northbound traffic through the core area. Southbound Highway 42 will be completely closed from Shore Road to County F. Visitors can access downtown Fish Creek from the south. Get more details at https://projects.511wi.gov/wis42recon/. 

Work on highway 42 between Ephraim and Sister Bay continues this week but will not have significant traffic impacts as crews begin shouldering and pavement marking and complete the mow strip along the guardrail just south of village of Sister Bay.
