NSB to Reactivate Coin Counting and Exchange in Response to National Coin Shortage

There is again a coin shortage across America, so the Federal Reserve is limiting its coin allocations to banks.

In response, North Shore Bank (NSB) will reactivate its coin counting and exchange for dollars, May 10 – June 30, to help increase local coin supply as businesses and consumers become more active. This free service is available to anyone, NSB customer or not, who visits a North Shore Bank branch. No appointment is necessary.

During the most recent coin shortage last summer, North Shore Bank recirculated nearly $1 million.
